The Quality Indicators in Epilepsy Treatment Tool (QUIET) is designed to help primary care and general neurology clinics benchmark the quality of care for adults with epilepsy. This tool can be useful for assessing the degree to which clinical care in these settings addresses the complexity of epilepsy treatment.

QUIET addresses the following aspects of care:

  • Evaluation of initial seizure
  • Initial diagnosis and treatment
  • Chronic epilepsy care
  • Chronic epilepsy care for women
  • Patient-generated quality indicator statements
The QUIET Web site also provides background on the tool, instructions on how to use it, and a downloadable chart abstraction tool.
