Action Guide Tools: Use the tools to launch and build support for food-safe school programs, such as a how-to guide and video, motivational PowerPoint(r) presentation and administrator’s briefing brochure, and topical in-depth modules

Assess: Assess your school’s food safety strengths and weaknesses and develop a plan for improvement using the Food-Safe Schools Needs Assessment and Planning Guide.

Assemble a Team: Assemble a food-safe school team that includes representatives from stakeholder areas throughout the school environment.

Take School-wide Action: Learn more about how members of the school community can take action now to prevent foodborne illness outbreaks by following simple, customized action steps for school, health department, and cooperative extension staff, and students and families.
