These tools, which are part of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s 5 Million Lives Campaign, can help a hospital establish a rapid response team program. A rapid response team is composed of clinicians who bring critical care expertise to the patient bedside (or wherever it is needed) to prevent deaths in patients who are failing outside intensive care settings.
