Bright Futures Materials


Bright Futures is a national health promotion and disease prevention initiative that addresses children’s health needs in the context of family and community. The Bright Futures materials are designed to be useful to a wide range of audiences from health care professionals and those who provide health care for children, to parents and others in the community who participate in youth-oriented activities such as coaches, educators, and child care workers.

Materials include the following:

  • Health supervision guidelines, pocket guide, personal digital assistant, health promotion information sheets
  • Practice guides on oral health, mental health, and physical activity
  • PowerPoint presentations and handouts
  • Bright Futures toolkit and resource kit
  • Bright Futures activity book
  • Performing preventive services
  • Nutrition, 3rd Edition
